One main part of the research in the group has been the
development of the Extended Cutting Plane (ECP) algorithm, for
solving Mixed-Integer Non-Linear Programming (MINLP) problems.
Two different program-packages using
the ECP algorithm, have been developed at the laboratory:
- AlphaECP,
written in Fortran and VisualBasic for Microsoft
Windows, needing the CPLEX
callable library v6.0 or later, as well as a F90 compiler
- GAMS/AlphaECP is an implementation of the ECP-algorithm integrated in the GAMS system
